In late 2022, SYNOT Games recognized a critical strategic gap: while their game portfolio was world-class, they lacked a proprietary, unified ecosystem to drive long-term player loyalty. Relying on third-party tools was no longer viable for a global holding aiming to lead the market. They needed a "green-field" solution - arobust, multi-tenant retention engine capable of handling millions of real-time events without compromising game performance.
ELIA was brought in as a full product vertical team to transform a high-level vision into a market-ready reality. The stakes were high: we had to master the complex legal and technical nuances of the iGaming industry while racing against a 12-month deadline to launch a fully integrated, scalable platform.

The partnership was born out of a need for agility. SYNOT chose ELIA because of our ability to operate as an autonomous product unit, handling everything from architecture to UX without the overhead of traditional outsourcing. We started with a high-intensity "Rapid Prototype" phase, delivering a functional, interactive proof-of-concept within the first 30 days to validate the core user journey.
We engineered a comprehensive promotional platform that empowers operators to launch tournaments, prize drops, "Wheel of Fortune", and challenges mechanics with minimal technical friction. Designed for global scale, the backend supports asynchronous multi-tenancy, handling diverse currencies and multilingual support across disparate jurisdictions.
The platform bridges the gap between complex backend logic and an intuitive operator interface, enabling seamless acquisition and reactivation campaigns that elevate operational efficiency.
The primary technical hurdle was the Market-Specific Logic Engine. To solve for global regulatory fragmentation, we engineered a modular "Compliance Layer" that allows SYNOT to toggle features based on local licenses without altering core code.
However, the real engineering feat was the Real-Time Signal Architecture. We built a high-throughput messaging system that handles thousands of concurrent player actions per second. This ensures that every event, from a qualification milestone to a rank change on the leaderboard, is processed and communicated instantly.
By optimizing the In-Game Overlay to hook directly into the game engine, we ensured the retention UI felt like a native, responsive component rather than an intrusive add-on. The result is an immersive environment where players never have to leave the game to check their status.
