We built the digital ecosystem for "World Phenomena" (Fenomény sveta), a cross-curricular educational platform that transforms BBC video content into interactive learning experiences, now used by over 200,000 students and teachers.

With 20 years of experience in digital education, AGEMSOFT delivers innovative products, educational content and platforms for nursery, primary and secondary schools, with a strong focus on pedagogical innovation and modernising teaching. They operate the Kozmix and World Phenomena portals and collaborate with leading public and private organisations, including the Ministry of Education, Tatra banka, BBC, Samsung and Microsoft.
EDULAB is a centre for modern education for teachers and school leaders. Through its management academy, it supports school leaders in developing their managerial and innovation skills through flexible learning programmes that connect practical experience, change experts and entrepreneurial know-how.
ELIA was tasked with translating pedagogical expertise into a robust digital reality. We developed a comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) and a custom content creation framework. The solution enables the seamless creation of interactive video lessons, automated assignment evaluation for teachers, and a gamified "expedition" experience for students.

The core challenge was pedagogical engagement: How do you teach the "TikTok generation" (11-19 year olds) effectively? The client possessed world-class content (BBC documentaries) and deep pedagogical knowledge, but they faced a technological gap.
Simply playing a video in a classroom is passive. The client needed a platform that would transform video watching into an active, measurable learning process. They required a custom solution that could:
ELIA was brought in to build the entire technical backbone, creating a bespoke environment that supports SCORM standards while offering a unique, gamified user experience.

Creating digital educational materials for schools is not easy. The user experience must be as perfect as possible for teachers and students - if something doesn't work in class once, schools will never return to it. The content must be visually attractive and must work reliably on a wide range of platforms that schools use.
With Elia, we have created thousands of educational materials that have reached thousands of teachers and tens of thousands of students. The Kozmix and Fenomény sveta brands are now known throughout Slovakia. If someone has a complex task and is looking for a solution that meets the above-mentioned parameters, Elia is the right partner.
To bridge the gap between video content and active learning, we avoided rigid off-the-shelf LMS structures. Instead, we developed a versatile Interactive Lesson Framework. This tool empowers the client's educational team to construct lessons without writing a single line of code.
We built a library of 90+ custom HTML components, ranging from simple quizzes to complex map interactions and video-interrupt decision points. This flexibility allowed the creation of over 700 unique lessons where the video stops and challenges the student to think, ensuring retention and engagement.
To drive student retention, we engineered a gamification layer directly into the platform. We moved beyond simple "points" and created an "Expedition" system. As students complete cross-curricular activities and collaborative assignments, they unlock progress on a virtual journey.
The backend logic connects these digital achievements to real-world incentives, allowing students to compete for valuable prizes. This turned homework from a chore into a quest.
For the platform to succeed, it had to save teachers time. We developed an automated evaluation engine for online assignments. Teachers can assign lessons to specific classes, track progress in real-time, and let the system handle the grading of objective tasks. This allows educators to focus on discussion and mentorship rather than administrative paperwork.

The collaboration between ELIA and the AGEMSOFT resulted in one of the most successful digital education platforms in the region. The solution successfully scaled to handle massive traffic, particularly proving its robustness during periods of remote learning.
